"Seattle Times News Partners" - site of area blogs


The "Seattle Times" publishes a "Local News Partnership" site with links to selected local blogs in Puget Sound.  For clustered cities find the local news blog map HERE, click on Local News then scroll all the way down to the partnership map to find over 15 local news blogs, including mine.  Click on the city link that interests you.

The Bellevue and Shoreline blogs are especially well done. Some blogs have been discontinued.

"Finance, Administration and Communication" Council meeting talking points: The City Website :   Phase One involved community outreach and is complete.  Phase Two is underway and involves building out the design.  90% of the design is done with 5,000 pages reduced to 1500 pages.  (This just gives you and idea how outdated this website is; many of us have been asking for a new website for almost a decade.)  In response to Council member Steve Fields' question about how many employees were involved in Phase Two, Communications Director Lisa Mayre said 50 staff representing all departments participated in the updates.  12- 15 "super users" from planning and land use played a major role.  Mr. Myers asked for Search engine improvements.  Apparently, we'll have them. Steve's holiday letter to Friends and Family Last December at this time I was preparing for my first year on the Redmond City Council. An opportunity only made possible by your support and inspiration. It was an exciting moment in my life. This Holiday week, I am again preparing, now for my second year, with an even deeper appreciation and dedication to the work of serving as an elected representative.
